Well, that’s something I never imagined I’d be doing when I started painting professionally!
On Thursday, I popped along to Poppyland Community Radio for a live interview for ‘The Mardle’ following an invitation to talk about my current exhibition at the Garden House Gallery in Cromer. I have to say, once the nerves subsided, really enjoyed it!
We chatted about my current exhibition, my journey into the art world (with a surprising element), how I came to work in oils and, of course, the beautiful North Norfolk landscape that continues to inspire so much of my work. It’s quite strange when you stop and think about how things have developed over the past few years. What began as wanting to focus more time doing something I love has gradually turned into a whole new professional chapter, with exhibitions, magazine feature and now a radio interview!
You never really know what’s around the corner, and perhaps that’s part of the enjoyment of it all.
A big thank you to Poppyland Community Radio for inviting me along and taking an interest in my work. It was lovely to have the opportunity to talk about something I’m so passionate about.
The interview was live on Thursday 29th October at 3pm on The Mardle, Poppyland Radio however, you can listen to my 8 minute ‘Mardle’ by clicking the picture below.
And if you’re in Cromer, my exhibition at the Garden House Gallery continues until 1st November.
It’s been a rather lovely few weeks!
